Dementia-friendly gardening workshop

Designed for people living with dementia and their caregivers, please join us for this free dementia-friendly gardening class at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Come ready to get your hands dirty, learn from caring educators and volunteers, and spend time with others! Hands-on activities include planting, pruning, and exploring plants at your own pace. Classes will take place indoors and outdoors, depending upon weather. This program is designed to promote improved mental health, quality of life, and opportunities for social connection for people living with dementia and their caregivers.

GROW (Gardening Rooted in Occupational Wellness) is a therapeutic gardening program designed to promote improved mental health, quality of life, and social connection. At the San Antonio Botanical garden, GROW is specifically adapted for people living with dementia and caregivers.
